
CONTEST RULES
Eligibility

The Vanishing Point art competition is FREE and welcomes students from around the world in grades K through 12, ages 4 to 18. Participants will compete in four divisions based on grade level: High School Division (grades 9-12), Middle School Division (grades 6-8), Upper Elementary Division (grades 3-5), and Lower Elementary Division (grades K-2).
Deadline

The submission deadline for the "Domestic Species" Art Contest is October 31, 2025. All entries must be received by this date to be eligible for judging.

Winners will be announced on November 15, 2025, with Gold and Silver awards presented to outstanding works, along with Honorable Mentions to highlight notable submissions.
How to Apply

To enter The Domestic Species Art Contest, complete the online entry form and upload a high-quality image of your artwork. The contest is free to enter, and you may submit multiple artworks; however, each entry must be submitted individually. Before submitting, please review our grading rubric to understand how your artwork will be evaluated.
Rules
Art Mediums:

We accept all 2D art media, including digital artwork, traditional drawings, paintings, and mixed media (combining different traditional materials).

AI-generated artwork and photographs are not permitted.

All submissions must be hand-drawn or painted, using either traditional or digital tools.

The artwork must represent one of the seven endangered species listed on our website. You can view the species selection here: "THE DOMESTIC SPECIES"
Submission Requirements:

Artwork must be original and cannot rely on tracing or direct replication of existing images or photographs.

3D modeling or rendering software is not allowed for submissions.

Ensure that your file is saved and submitted in a high-resolution format (JPEG, PNG, or TIFF) with a minimum of 300 dpi to ensure clarity during judging
